Christmas is over!

Can you believe it?  I can't!  But I have taken the decorations down.  I usually wait until after the new year, but a little cleaning bug got into me and I had to clear everything out.  I tell ya - it feels good to get everything cleaned - but I do miss the christmasy vibe.

I want to share with you my December Daily that is almost complete.

A photo from around our house.TPDD72 TPDD72a

This year I tried something a bit different for our advent calendar.  I made little bags and filled them with fun things.  Alyson was so excited to open them.

This page had a little pocket, and I had quite a few photos so I wanted to do a grid with the photos and then stick them in the pocket.

TPDD9a

We were making cupcakes that day.

TPDD9b This is the journaling on the back.

This is a little half page.  I printed out a photo of Alyson at her Song Festival.

TPDD10

TPdd11 I did a page about how we watched the 25 days of christmas on ABC.  The journaling is on the left side of the book.

TPDD12 There was little journlaing page that I added and placed the photo on.  The alphas are actually green.

TPDD12a A close up and the journaling.

TPDD13 Page/Day 13.  We made the class favors that day.  This is a hambly overlay.

TPDD13a Alyson saw mw stamping the owls and coloring them -- and she quickly took over:)

TPDD14 And here is day 14 and a really poor photo of our tree.  I used some really old making memories alphas on this one.

TPDD15 This little chipboard piece was in the kit so I used it as my title page.

TPDD15a We watched Shrek for this movie night complete with Shrek popcorn.

TPDD16 I used the embellishment here to hold down my photos.

TPDD16a When you open up the little photo there is another photo of the angles that Alyson put together.

TPDD17 This page was actually an envelope.  I just tied it together with some ribbon.

Here is the inside.

TPDD17a This was a page was about my gifts that I got ready to take to work.

The journaling was done on the inside flap of the envelope.

That's all I have for now.  I do have some fun things to share later....

Vacation!!

And let the baking commence!!  I have finished all of the laundry and my next steps are to clean up the house, run errands, and do lots of fun things with Alyson!  I have crafts planned for this week that should keep us pretty busy!  I have to keep her busy considering she is so anxious to open presents and ready for Christmas.

But until then and until I get some photos of that -- I have a layout that I created for the latest Noel Mignon Challenge.  The challenge was to create a layout around a favorite Christmas Quote from a movie.  I have MANY favorites - but the quote that I chose comes from Miracle on 34th Street.  It is actually the subtitle on this page.

And I made this one from the Dear Santa kit as well.  It is the first photo from my December Daily album and I thought I should scrap it to document Alyson's love for Hot Chocolate.  She LOVES IT!!  And I can't say I blame her.  It also happens to be the name of one of the songs she sang for SongFest.  So it is perfect because she walks around all day singing it.:) NMHotChocolate

Well that is all I have for now!  I am off to bake the day away:)

A Little Noel Mignon

I have neglegted to post some of my recent Noel Mignon projects I have completed. There has been a month long Santa's Workshop that has been going on with LOTS and LOTS of fun tips and techniques to help you through this holiday weekend. SantaBlinkie

First, I made this altered sleigh with the Dear Santa Kit(Sold Out).  It has a lovely little home upstairs on the second floor counter.    This project was also very cheap to make.  The sleigh was $1 and all the "fixings" were 50% off so a lot of them were less than $1.  So easy.  Believe me if I can do it, you can too!NMsleigh

NMsleigh2 NMsleigh3

I also made this layout with the kit. NMwebelieve  I realized after I photographed this layout that I neglegted to journal on the layout!  Ha  that never happens - I am usually really good about writing.  But you know what the layout doesn't really need it!

It is a yearly photo that we take - this year it is just her and I.  So it will be filed away with the rest of our holiday photo layouts.

Oh and the big bow is actually some old Christmas tree  decoration that I am not using anymore -- so perfect right?

And then I made this little tree that I put in a frame.  It is in my bathroom now and looks so cute.  The little yo-yo ornaments are from fabric that is in the Dear Santa kit.

NMhohohoframe6

I have directions on how to make it in the Dear Santa board.  And one last thing.  I made this cute little ornament display from dollar store ornaments.

NMxmas Click here to take a peek at all the other DT ideas - you can even add your own!  It is well worth it!

Click here to head on over.

Have a wonderful Thursday!

My Little Shoebox

Here is my projects for this month over at My Little Shoebox -- this month I played with Imagine a Forest.  I LOVE the greens and pinks in this line - so pretty.

MLScornmazefun I thought the paper would work well with the photos from the pumpkin patch.  Since Alyson was wearing some pink --

MLScornmaze3 I went a little button crazy on the layout! Hee!

These are pictures that I have wanted to scrap for a long while but couldn't tweak the coloring to my liking - finally with some work in lightroom I got a good result and finally a layout.

MLSridinginstyle2

And this layout has photos from my friend Monica's sons baptism - did that make sense?  This is all I really got. But it captures some of the moment right?

MLSHisDay   MLSHisday2

MLSHisday3 That little flower at the top is one that I cut off of an old shirt that Alyson wasn't using anymore -- I knew it would come in handy one day - and here it is:)

Then one lil' card...

That's all I got for now...

Some of my favorite things....

I don't know but I love it when people post some of their favorite things at the moment.  I usually am drawn to something new and I love that --so I thought I might too -

Favorite Thing #1

A couple weeks ago, Alyson's teacher handed me an envelope.  When I opened it there was a letter notifying me that Alyson would be receiving an award for the month of November.  Of course I was hugely proud and it was so hard for me not to jump up and down and tell her.  Because yes, it was a secret...she finally received the award.  I was unable to attend, but Mike did and he video taped it and took pictures for me.  Here is the video that I edited - very short:)

Make an on-line slide show at www.OneTrueMedia.com

I think that it has finally sunk in that she earned an award because she now can not stop staring at it and telling me to look at it - LOL!  I am so proud of her. dfhd

Favorite Thing(s) #2

Shopping online - seriously - gotta love that you can shop in your pj's ANY time of the day -- ideal i tell ya.  Here are some of my favorite stops.

Cath Kidston -- LOVE the stuff there - even snagged myself this bag as a Christmas gift to me

Janna Wilson is a scrapper whom I have admired for a long time now and when she opened her shop I was only too excited.  She has some beautiful necklace.  I have a couple of them and they are even prettier in person and they come packaged oh so cute:)

Shop here

And of course anything to do with sewing - I am there.  This little Strawberry Shortcake is already to go -- just need to put it together --:)

Cake I hope mine comes out semi similar - hee!

Click here to go to her store:

And of course the obsession has begun - and I have to admit I started it:)  Santa just may be bringing these little ones to Alyson this Christmas.

F9207_tn_1 And thank goodness I ordered them in November - because I see they are backordered until Feb -- that would NOT have been good.

But alas, Alyson already has her eyes on the "big girl" American Girl Dolls -- so it looks like a trip to the American Girl Store will be in our near future:)

Okay - enough shopping - on to more fun Favorite things.

I have this wierd love for planners - like it is so bad that I usually have more than one planner a year (I am trying to kick that habbit) and I think I found the planner that is perfect for me.

It's a momagenda and I love it -- it is the perfect size to fit in my purse and holds all the info i need.  I know my i phone has a planner and calendar but it is just not the same for me I need something tangible and this is perfect.

Lime_mini09-10_l

Ok I kinda lost track of what number I was at - but I am sure that I posted plenty -- that is all I have for now but I will be back with some scrappy things from My Little Shoebox:)
