I turned 33 on Valentine's day - yes love my birthday!  And is it bad that I always have to think about how old I am?  LOL!  I am going to look at it as a good thing for now!  Since Valentine's day is usually extrememly busy and reservations are non-existant - we just decided on breakfast at Mimi's!  It was yummy!

The night before Alyson wanted me to have a cake so I cold blow out candles on my birthday - (awe).  So we made the confetti cake - every season I always buy the holiday cake mix and Alyson and I make it.  So this was the perfect timing!  My mom offered to make one for me but I thought it would be more special to make it with my girl.  And can I say she is mighty fine at cracking eggs!

I wished I would have had more icing for the middle --- but it was so yummy!

Alyson thought so too!

Alyson made me the cutest bird house that she put together (with help from Mike) and a valentine frame - so precious.  And the card that she made me precious!

My mom got me this beautiful necklace from Brighton - I guess it was a hot item because when I visited the store later that day, every sales person told me how lucky I was to have on!  So, thanks mom!

And I got a lovely gift card to Target from my sis and her fiance.

I decided to buy myself a lttle something too - Alyson and I went to the Forever 21 Jewelry store and got some headbands, earrings, and rings for under $20!  Awesome!

I also stopped and finally got my first Vera Bradley bag - I love the vintage feel to this bag.  I guess the pattern was inspired by a 1940's dress.  I think it is perfect for the Spring and Summer!

That's all it was a great birthday and am so thankful I celebrated with family!
