A Summer Banner

So I will be able to share all the projects I completed with the July Work in Progress kit soon - but I just have to share this one project with you all.

I decided to make a banner with all of the adorable Echo Park paper.  I used a Nikki Sivils chipboard book that was shaped as a house.  I cut off the chimney and used just the house base for the banner.  I had the idea of making a beach hut banner - it was a little difficult coming up with the idea but when I finally figured out what I wanted to do it went by quickly.

I used both the front and back of the pattern paper.  I rolled the paper so it looked like fabric.  The alphas were made using my Slice machine.  The cute little sandcastles were in the July kit and I used some American Crafts felties that I had in my stash as accents.

I used burlap to tie in between the huts.

It was really fun to make - and love that I can have a seasonal banner up this year.
