Fun-filled weekend.

How as your weekend?  Mine was definitely relaxing and a lot less chaotic than most.  Saturday I had my work Christmas party - which was fun.  And I had the big chunk of the day to devote to scrapping.  I am going to be honest here.  Things are just so busy around here with keeping Alyson busy, spending time with her, trying to keep up with the house, that the only time I can scrap is when I have assignments.  Because you see, it makes me scrap.  And for that I am thankful.  I love scrapping and love getting those memories down on "paper".  So I got some time this weekend while Alyson was at her dads to scrap.  Felt good.  relaxing.  I am in the midst of finishing a couple of projects and it is so much fun!

On Sunday it was time to just relax and start cutting somethings from my Cricut for some projects.  So Alyson always likes to be creating when I create so she helped me with some cutting and then I gave her a couple things to create while I finished up.  Thought I would share them because they are super easy and entertaining for them.

I had Alyson make some button ornaments.  I used some thin cardboard (like from a cereal box) and cut a circle for a wreath, and a triangle for a tree.  Be sure to punch a hole before you let them start gluing.

Oh how she loves glue - I think they may be drying for the next 3 days. Seriously.

She had plenty of buttons to choose from. :)

That kept her entertained for a little bit, then she watched some tv and then she wanted her hair curled.  So after I finished up, I did.  We were watching The Santa Clause 2 while I did so.

And the finished result.  It lasted all day.

We then made some homemade pizza.  Well homemade in the store bought crust, sauce, and cheese way.  It was fun, but didn't taste so great.  We will try another recipe next time.

Seriously a relaxing weekend.  I am in the process of planning out our 2 weeks off.  I must have an activity for each day.  If you all are interested, I can post them here.  I plan on using things that I have around the house, but it is better to plan ahead.  So let me know if you would like me to list them.

  Have a wonderful day.
