Getting Organized

Hello and happy Tuesday.  Today I have something new to share.  I am constantly trying reorganize my mess.  The tough part for me is keeping things in order.  One of the places that gets a bit crazy is my bathroom, especially with the amount of hairspray I use.  :)

Let me start by saying that I love make-up.  I love color and am not afraid to use it.  I have a variety of brands, that for a long time was only MAC brand user.  But as a result of Pinterest, I found the awesome make-up artist Emily.  She is a news broadcaster that has a blog and a yotube channel all about make-up.  What I love about it is that she reviews hi end make-up as well as drug store make-up.  It really has allowed me to try some brands that I haven't tried in a long time.

So, back to my organization.  I have been loving the $5 e.l.f. eyeshadows from Target.  The problem is that they are hard to store.  So in comes this little organizer.
Sorry for the poor photo quality, the lighting in my bathroom is terrible.  Add to it there are no windows, bad I tell you.

Let me show you some before photos - don't judge please.  Let me tell you there is coat of hairspray on things - it's the way it it, sorry.
These make-up organizers used to be hidden below my sink, but I found that I never used them when they were hidden.  It was too much hassle to sift through the drawers.  So this past summer, I just put them out on my counter.  No one uses my bathroom but me, so I figured, why not.  I tried to somewhat make is a bit better by adding a towel, makes all the difference, right?  Ha!

Anyhow, this is what it usually looks like.  The basics are one the top and the drawers hold all my eyeshadows, etc.  Here is a closer look.
It is semi organized, but as you can see, the make-up palettes take up space and I have to take everything out to get to something I want.
See, more eyeshadows galore.  Then I have a drawer with lipstick lipliners, lipgloss, and other odds and ends.

So I took that mini organizer and did this...
I places al my eyeshadow palettes in that organizer.  I can fit a couple per section, so it is completely filled and I should not buy anymore - heeee!

I also filled one of my vintage finds with things I use every morning.  My brushes are in a jar and that tissue is used to tap off excess shadow.

With organizing these palettes, my drawers were in much better shape.
All my shadow pots, all my mini palettes and blush, and then some odds and ends in the las one.  Extra compacts, sponges, etc.

I love it soooooo much better and I am so happy to see my eyeshadow palettes in order.  I love it!  One, more time for me :)

I thought it would be fun to share this, since I love seeing how others organize things.  Hope you enjoyed it!

Have a wonderful day!

Michelle
