Long Overdue

Hi hi!  Hope you are having a happy Tuesday.  Alyson and I have been taking full advantage of our time off and doing some fun girl stuff (more on that later).  Today I wanted to post some long overdue Halloween party pics before, you know, Thanksgiving is here.  Hehe!  How time flies.  As I was scrolling through them, I realized I didn’t take all that many photos, but I took some, and that’s what counts right?

So here we go – they should make you smile – some are pretty funny.

My cowgirl – I loved her costume.

What I didn’t tell you, is that Mike is a great Daddy and always pairs up with Alyson and they wear costumes that compliment each other.

Isn’t that Daddy love??  ONLY for Alyson would he wear that costume.  And yes, he attends our Halloween party every year.  We may not be together, but we get along really well(so thankful for that).

I am just thankful I didn’t have to be Buzz – ha!

I did a really poor job in taking photos of the table area – it was cute – believe me.  But here are a couple close-ups that I obviously deemed important. SmileThe top photo is of a gummy brain that we made – super easy – I didn’t taste it – but it went with the décor.

This is a cookie dough dip I made – soooooo yummy!

And I thought this bottle was too cute, had to take a picture.

I tried to get Alyson to take a photo inside – and this is what happens – so don’t be fooled into thinking she always cooperates – ha!  She is giggling like crazy here.  She giggles, a LOT.

I tried to threaten her – but as you can see, she was calling my bluff.

My sister had to hold her down because she wouldn’t sit still for a picture.

My mom, a.k.a Lucy, was no help, she was busy eating.

Baby Lauren was the only one she willingly took a picture with.  Not sure what is going on with Alyson’s hair.  I think I may have asked her to put her hat on and thus, the mess.  But look at miss Lauren – the cutest little witch.

Decorating cookies is always one of our party activities, and sadly, this is the only photo I have of Alyson and Daniel.  Daniel wore his monster costume all night too!

Wait until you see my good friend Monica and her husband – they had the BEST costumes!

Trust me, they really are a good looking couple in real life!  I wish I would have taken a full body shot (with the walker and all).  They have a lot to live up to next year!

The girls.  I didn’t get a photo of my mother in law that was a cute 50’s girl.

But, I didn’t miss this photo op – with miss Lauren holding her hands – soooo cute!

I hope you enjoyed these and got a good giggle.  We had a lot of fun and I am so thankful we started this tradition.  Alyson LOVES it and that’s what’s important.

Have a wonderful Tuesday!

  1. Ohh, it looks like you had a lot of fun! It is so great to hear that you still get along, despite the fact that you are not together anymore. This is very, very rare and you both deserve a BIG pat on the back for that!!!
